Donation/Payment to Play
Dear DMS Community,
Thank you for your support of the DMS Athletic program. Our sports program relies soley on your generous contributions, of which we are very much thankful for. Please know that your financial contribution is not a requirement for your student's participation in the DMS Athletic program.
We have been made aware of an auto-announcement from our new system that indicated non-paying participants would not be eligible to participate in their respective sport. Please know that this is not the case; payment is not a requirement for participation. We recognize that there are financial concerns for some of our DMS families and would like to encourage these families to email Heidi Rawson (email@example.com) requesting a scholarship. At that point, you will be given the proper information to complete registration. Registration will not be completed until the proper scholarship information has been given and entered. Until registration is complete, the student/athlete will not be able to participate because we will not have their emergency contact information or the consent on file. It is important for our records to have the necessary financial paperwork for each student to best support the continued review of our Athletic program.
We have been asked how the donation money is used. Here is a general breakdown of some expenses...
- Maintaining Uniforms (big cost)
- Equipment- cones, soccer balls, basketballs, volleyballs, net system, scorebooks, wrestling mats, flip charts, pennies, benches, shot puts, rakes, disci, high jump- mats, poles, standards, starting blocks, hurdles, a cage, chalk, tape measures, equipment bags, pumps
- Paint to line the fields
- First Aid
- League Fees
- Referees (big cost)
- Timing System (track and x-country)
- Coaching Fees
