ABOUT RIVERSIDE PREP AND THE ATHLETICS DEPARTMENT
Riverside Prep High School is a Public Charter High School located about 10 minutes northwest of Victorville, CA. The high school is a part of the Oro Grande School District.
Our athletics department and its programs compete as a member of the Cross Valley League. Schools within the CVL include AAE, Big Bear, CIMS, Excelsior, Hesperia Christian, University Prep and Silver Valley. Our sports programs include Varsity and Junior Varsity levels within Football, Girls Volleyball, Boys and Girls Cross Country, Cheerleading, Boys and Girls Basketball, Boys and Girls Soccer, Softball, Baseball and Boys and Girls Track and Field. We also have a freelance swim team that practices at Silverado High School.
We require an active physical to be completed and be on file with the athletic director. Physicals must be completed by a Medical Doctor (MD) in order to be valid. Parents must also complete an individual sports registration through 8to18 for each participating sport in order for prospective student-athletes to tryout and compete here on campus. It is also a requirement that all student-athletes MUST earn and maintain at least a 2.0 GPA prior to, during and after season, in order to be eligible to participate in any sport. Parents and student-athletes are required to provide valid health insurance at time of registration. Riverside Prep High School and the Oro Grande School District offer the option for families to purchase a private athlete health insurance plan in the event that families cannot provide it through their existing coverage or that their coverage is limited. Please see the Athletic Director for more information.
